Save a Starving Author is about helping a writer keep afloat whilst trying to realise her dream of becoming a published author...
My name is Rebecca Clare Smith but I do go under the aliases of Captain Darkling, Jocasta Lizzbeth Moonshadow and Square. I live in England which is part of the UK and I have five cats and one dog, hence the cute little cat animation at the bottom. He purrs if you put your mouse on his chest. Anyway, I write a number of different genres. You should be able to find Mills & Boon style stories as well as fantasy stories within these pages. There is a donate button installed so that if you would like to contribute to helping me eat, etc, then you can, but if you don't want to; you don't have to. It is entirely voluntary. Please don't think me cheeky for providing a donate button, either, but a girl and her cats have got to eat. ^^;
There is a page of links to other writing places and other such places that I have found helpful or interesting over the years or that I have colloborated on. I also added in a page where you can find out a little bit more about me, if you really want to of course. There are a few small pictures so you can see who I am, too. I have added in an entire page of little gadgets, too, seeing as I find them so amusing, but feel free to skip them if you want. The UPDATES page does exactly that. It has updates everytime I remember to put them down.
To view a story click on the link at the top of the page and a list of stories (current and past) will appear. If you click on each you will find the first page plus a link to any other pages. With the poetry there are several lots of poetry on one page but links at the top to the next pages. I hope you enjoy reading through them. And please do leave a comment on the comments page because I really do love to hear from people on their thoughts about my work.
